Big Novo Combo fan ,I just burned my casettes onto a cd so I could have them in my I-pod .Hope to catch You and Scotty sometime soon. All the best to you Frank Teger - Friday, March 21st, 2008 7:38 AM It seems as if there are a few people looking to relive their youth and find Novo Combo music available on CD or Digitally. I saw you guys perform as a warm-up to some local metal act in Rochelle Park NJ at a club called Pebbles or aka The Hole in the Wall. I remember you guys taking the stage and thinking to myself you were some kind of New Wave act, haha LOL! One of the first songs you guys played was Axis Will Turn, seeing the drummer lay down that groove and listening to that delicate but melodic guitar part brought to the front of the stage and I knew on that night I was witnessing something special and out of the ordinary. After that Night I started to investigate who this band was "That was Michael Shrive"!!!! I fell in love with your music. So before I go out and buy a USB Direct turntable to record my vinyl to digital, are there any plans to re-release any of the Novo Combo albums, hey I've seen more obscure bands re-release on CD Anyone ever remember a band called Art In America???? In any case I just ordered your new CD here. Peace & Love drmrsdad aka Frank jeff Fredriksen - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 1:19 PM Really loved Novo Combo's first album. Do you provide any kind of shuttle service from the Wexford Hotels? G. Rayburn - Sunday, March 9th, 2008 1:36 PM Yo, Dingus and Mingus! Dug the show last night. I was feeling it, boyz. The crowd was buying what you wuz sellin'! Despite the inclement weather, you warmed the cockles of our hearts. How was that burger, Scot-tay? I peeped it, and that was some legit beef! Next time, try the Cuban panini. Ham and cheese, baby! Beth McCabe - Monday, February 11th, 2008 4:55 PM HI Pete, I finally had some time today to research NOVO COMBO as I am looking for music that influenced me as a very young singer, as I'm trying to finish my first cd. I was glad to find Novo Combo in Wolfgang's Vault as I always enjoyed your live Boston concerts in the 1982- 1985 time frame. Well, I hope all's well with you and I hope to catch your musical show sometime I'm travelling through your city. By the way, which songs were you singing the lead vocal on? All the best, Beth McCabe Boston, MA Matthew Shinton - Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 4:24 AM Hi Pete my brother Tom spoke highly of you but I have never meet you and found your web site. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (I'll tell Bob Miller I said 'howdy!') Regards, Todd Wade Mark Snavely - Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 11:09 AM Hey Pete, Just wanted to give a great big "Thank You" for giving of your time last Sunday night at the Give-A-Gift benefit concert. David J Duggan - Friday, November 23rd, 2007 4:52 PM I loved Novo Combo and I would love to get CDs or MP3 downloads of your music. I still have great memories and photos when you played in a small club in Boston. tim baker - Friday, November 16th, 2007 11:58 AM hi pete. hi scott. a couple years ago you guys played at a party we had at my home in eighty four. if you remember we had a tent set up in the driveway. what a great job you did at the party. we often come to atrias at the ballpark to see you perform. we are friends with dee and dennis maffie, her sister judy and the rest of the regulars. anyway, the reason for this letter is to find out if you are available to play on august 9, 2008. my wife and i are celebrating our 40th anniversary and i am planning a surprise party for her. we don't have a location yet but it will be in the pittsburgh area of course. my wife knows nothing about this yet so if you talk to her at atrias please don't say anything about it. i'm not sure whether we want you guys or the whole band. i'd love to talk to you about it. please call me at my work number 724-239-5757 or email back with a number where i can reach you. thanks. tim baker. Ted "the Wick" L. - Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 4:42 AM Yo, Pete! Mucho congrats to you and your bandmates on your award. Nobody deserves it more than you, my brutha. We traveled many miles together over the years, and I have been blessed to have not only worked with you and been able to hear your truly amazing voice for so many shows, but also to be able to call you my friend. When you did your gig "Live At JP's" & I put together a flyer, I used a quote from the NY Post: "One of the greatest voices in rockdom". They were most assuredly telling the truth... Love you, man! God Bless, Tedwick Tom - Friday, November 2nd, 2007 8:23 PM I can't wait for you guys to do more weekend shows... love the summer evenings at Frescos. Can't beat "Scenes from an Italian restaurant". Otherwise, vinyl is available from online dealers. Drew Koen - Sunday, August 19th, 2007 1:30 AM I can't tell you how much I love your music. It makes me wanna dance... all the time man! YOU GUYS ROCK! How can I obtain Novo Combo music, preferably in mp3 or cd format? Did I mention Novo Combo rocks?!!! Nils Kirkland - Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 12:16 AM "Nights in White Satin," when followed by the poem ("breathe deep, the gathering gloom...) is when you guys are the MOST fun. Don't stop playing that stuff. Don't stop having that kind of fun, it doesn't bring us down! Abigail - Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 11:39 PM Wow, I have to strongly disagree with Cosmo, I LOVE to hear White Satin and Levon, those songs are a great example of who you guys are and the amazing talent it takes to make them sound so incredible, please don't think he speaks for the rest of us... keep them coming!!! Debi Klosky - Saturday, August 4th, 2007 1:45 PM Saw you preform many times, most recently @ Fresco's Aug. 3rd. Hard to believe that you are just a three piece band. AWESOME! Robin Miller - Thursday, July 26th, 2007 4:21 PM My introduction to you was at the end of June at Ciao! Nick kept telling us to come to see the great live entertainment on Monday nights. He was right you guys were great! barb - Friday, July 20th, 2007 11:15 PM Just saw you at forest hills concert you all were great, nice evening Thanks Misty C. My page is http://www.myspace.com/laureng33. Thanks! Lauren - Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 11:58 PM Hey! I saw you guys play a couple times at Ciao's and Billy's Roadhouse. I was with Joey Granati. Anyway, I think you should start a myspace band site. You'd be surprised how many people would discover you on there. I found your site Scott, but you haven't been on since February. You can post songs for people to download at $0.99 a piece too. Just a thought. I'll try to make it out to see you play again sometime soon. Pete has an amazing voice! Tell him I said "hi". Later! Lauren Michele - Wednesday, May 16th, 2007 1:46 AM Hi Guys, will you be adding streaming video soon so we can all see the Studio A shows? I would also LOVE to get my hands on the West View Park video Skinny Bishop mentioned in his post! Love you guys, wish I were closer to catch a gig. Natalie Sabatine - Friday, May 11th, 2007 3:34 PM Greetings, I had not seen you guys for awhile and I recently caught a gig (long-time fan and long overdue). I'm always impressed by Pete's artistry, and the band's, as well. But what is even more remarkable is that every time I leave a performance, I feel like my soul has been fed. I cannot say I have ever watched/heard anybody with as much raw performing talent as Pete. You guys are far and away levels above any of the local talent. What it takes to captivate a room in the way that you do is rare and exceptional. This time, I will not stay away for so long. Thanks for sharing your gifts! Natalie Viv - Sunday, April 22nd, 2007 12:08 AM Hi Scott & Pete - I was missing WQUD Jazz and remembered about the WQED programmes i'd been told about. Really enjoyed the 2 Carols and to see you guys perform. Wonderful memories of Pittsburgh and Atrias. Love to you both Viv (NZ) Barbara Mathia - Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 11:34 PM Your show tonight at Atria's was fantastic ! You put a lot of effort into your performances and it looks like you enjoy every minute of it. Thanks for another great show. Thaddeus Krawiec - Saturday, April 14th, 2007 1:00 AM Your concert in Oil City on Friday night was FANTASTIC and I have heard some many wonderful comments stemming from that show. You had the audience in the palm of yur hand. We all just loved your show. Please return again soon! Thank you for a wonderful evening! Carole Eriksson - Monday, March 26th, 2007 7:57 AM March 25, 2007, My husband and I saw your TV special in November and purchased the CD. We love it, especially Georgia and All The Way. We would like very much to see your live performance. Thanks for all the enjoyment you have given us. Patty - Sunday, March 25th, 2007 4:50 PM OK, this is my first post on here but I had to comment on the last message.....I don't know who "G. Rayburn" is but I'm NOWHERE NEAR ready for the old folk's home or registered with AARP but I was there also enjoying the show (OK, I did bring my 78 yr. old mother but she acts 20 yrs. younger most of the time so she doesn't count!). Anyway, it seemed like you guys were back in your element at Frescos. Scott, you must be a musical genius. How do you go from song to song without music in front of you? That's really amazing to watch! (Pete always has sheet music but he makes up for it because he's so cute!) Anyway, I would have thrown rose petals but my mother only had Geritol tablets in her purse! Great show! Bridget and Jim Rouser - Saturday, March 24th, 2007 3:36 PM Just a note to say that we heard you for the first time at Fresco's on 3/23 and I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had! My friends and I enjoyed your music probably more than any other band we've seen! We were on our feet dancing and having a ball! You've gained 4 new followers! Hope to see you at Elephant & Castle! Thanks for sharing your talents! Earl - Saturday, March 24th, 2007 10:02 AM Fabulous show last night!!! Your Tatoo was the most energized ever and Pinball Wizard was a great treat. G. Rayburn - Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 10:11 PM Do you take requests? I can't get the Zombies "Time of the Season" out of my head and I know Pete could wail it. And there's a cool keyboard part perfect for Scotty. Earl - Wednesday, March 21st, 2007 3:30 PM So great to hear that you're returning to Frescos. We'll be there for sure. Now...if I can only get you guys to play Allison... And Scott, how about a little more Bruce Hornsby? I feel sorry for the deprived souls who have never had the pleasure of just listening. Would you please post your schedule of the QED event on your web site. Thanks, Hershey Kisses Alexis Adamchik - Friday, January 5th, 2007 4:35 PM Truly enjoy you guys....all the time...nice to see you at the Elephant Castle! Valerie Ainsworth - Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 1:13 AM Hi Guys! I've been a HUGE Pete Hewlett fan since the "olden days" at church, but never had the pleasure of hearing Scott until catching Studio A over the holidays. Watching those fingers flying over the keys blew me away! I always knew that Pete was especially gifted, and now -- wow! Hearing the two of you together! Amazing! I'm psyched that I found this site via Google! Can't wait to buy your CD, and can't wait to share this site, and everything I just discovered here with my son, Beejae, who is a musician preparing to move to NY to break into the business after finally finishing his first solo CD. Am hoping to take him to one of your British Invasion shows, as Beatles' songs were his lullabies when he was little and have influenced him quite a bit despite my sour notes. So good to hear you again, Pete! Your voice keeps getting better and better, if that's possible. Congratulations on your Emmy, Scott -- no surprise there! God bless you both. Val Chad Butta - Saturday, December 30th, 2006 7:31 PM Pete and Scott, I was in Pittsburgh in early December. Saw you at Atrias - PNC Park. Great show. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Harger - Sunday, November 5th, 2006 11:07 PM Hi, this is the son of David Harger. I've spent a long time searching the web to find any mention of my father's group, and well now I have. I listen to my father's casset all the time, but my question is does he have any other recordings or albums? I'm not one to talk about his old life with him. Guy Smiley - Thursday, November 2nd, 2006 9:02 PM Hey guys, I'm a big fan. I thoroughly enjoyed the Live from Studio A show. It was a pleasure while it lasted and it's nice to see the names of some customers that I haven't talked to in a while as well! Hello all. Scott, congrats on your emmy as it was well deserved.
